- What is tufting?Tufting is a unique art form that involves pushing yarn through a fabric to create rugs, wall art, and anything else you can dream of. Typically tufting is done in four steps: tufting, glueing, backing, and trimming.
- Can multiple people work together on one piece?
- Yes, two people can work on one rug together. Each workshop is booked per frame.
- When do I choose my design? – After you book your frame size and time you will be directed to a page to upload your design.
- Do I need any experience to tuft a rug?Nope! Our workshops are beginner-friendly. We’ll walk you through everything—from setting up your design to using the tufting gun like a pro.
- What’s included in the workshop?
All materials are included: yarn, backing fabric, tufting gun, frame, and finishing supplies. You just bring your design idea (or choose one when you arrive) and your creativity!
- How long does it take to finish a rug?It depends on your frame size and design complexity. Most sessions range from 1.5 to 4+ hours. Don’t worry—we’ll help you pick a project that fits your time and comfort level.
- When do I choose my design?After you book your frame size and time you will be directed to a page to upload your design.
- Do I get to take my rug home with me the same day?Yes, glueing and backing will all be done during your workshop. We recommend letting the rug sit uninterrupted for 24hrs once you get home.
- Do we need a reservation?Yes, all workshops are by reservation only. For large groups please send an email or call in to schedule your group.
- How do I choose an image?We recommend images aht are both cartoon-style and abstract-style, as these often work best. Simply save a photo found on google, pinterest, or even hand drawn by you. We will trace the image and have it ready on your selected frame size once you arrive.
